Case Study - Megan
Megan is a 12yo TB. Her owners asked if I would have a look at her ‘just out of interest’. After the assessment, I asked if, when ridden, did she buck? The owner replied, “Yes she does, how did you know?”. I could tell from the assessment that Megan had ‘overloaded kidneys’, as well as a toxic digestion, weak digestion, mark in the liver area, mark in the poll area and mark in the Pelvic area - to mention a few, but these signs were significant to the ‘bucking’.
Julie and Emma, Megan’s owners, agreed to follow my recommendations, and, as you can see from the second photo, after just 4 weeks into the ‘treatment’, her eyes are looking much brighter and cleaner. Emma and Julie have stated that Megan is much more alert than she has been of late. She hasn’t been ridden since the assessment as we are giving her the kidney herbs from Ellen Collinson’s range, but she will be ready to go back under saddle quite soon. We also had an Equine Cranial/Sacral Osteopath - Bruce Hewitt (see links page), who treated Megan on the findings of the marks in the poll/Atlas/Pelvic areas following my assessment. He found that she had Chronic restriction in the lumbar sacral area on the left, with a compensation lesion pattern in the right poll. Both treated with soft tissue technique and HVLA (high velocity, low amplitude) adjustments.
" Hi,
Just thought i would update you on megs progress. Her eyes remain bright and clear and she is still full of energy. Her hooves and skin are the best they have ever been and she is a lot better when being ridden.
We introduced Carob into her diet to strengthen her hooves and bones as it contains more calcium than milk and all my horses love it. We keep her diet simple and alfa have introduced a molasses free alfalfa product which we have put meg on it also contains a lot of herbs. She adores this and has lost weight slowly and in a way I am pleased with. No-one believes she is now 19.
Bruce has recently been back out to her and put her withers to rights.
I am so glad you saw her and shed some insight on her problems. We are obsessive over the colour of her urine, but by making sure it is clear we can guage as to wether or not she can have the odd treat of chaff or as meg like to do, remove the lid and steal it. Her legs rarely fill up and she is less stiff even over the winter months when stablebound.
Thank you so much for helping us to understand our horse and enabling her to communicate why she was acting out.
love Julie,Emma, Kim and of course Meggie Moo "

Testimonial - Martin Platt & Colonel Mustard
" I felt I had to write to thank you Ann for the assessment you did on Colonel Mustard. Colonel is a registered harness horse who had yet to prove his full potential. As an owner, trainer and breeder of harness horses and, due to the competitiveness of this sport, any advice as to under-achieving is always taken on board.
The iridology assessment showed that Colonel has an inherited kidney weakness and had marks in the kidney areas. Without the iridology assessment, these would have gone unnoticed. Ann also informed me of old injuries that colonel had had which Ann could not have known about, but apparently, these show up in the iris also.
After following Ann’s advice on dietary changes and giving Colonel a course of Ellen Collinson’s Kidney herbs®, Colonel was placed second in his very next race and has actually won three races since. It was sound advice by Cheshire Equine Iridology, and thanks to them and the Kidney herbs, I now have another winner in my stables.
Ann took the time to do a follow-up visit and has demonstrated to me that she genuinely cares about the health of the horse. I have sent you a picture of Colonel winning his latest race. You can see he looks as if he is really enjoying his job now. Thank you so much.

Testimonial - Barbara Gregg & Crackerjack
Waterhall Farm, Herts 20/8/2011
" Ann was coming to see my friend’s horse and very kindly agreed to see me as well. There was nothing specifically wrong, but you know when things just ‘aren’t right’. After taking the photos of his eyes we retired to the tea rooms to take a look on the computer. I found it fascinating. The way Ann explained what we were looking at in the eyes all made sense to me. My boy had a very toxic digestion, which didn’t surprise me as I dabble with aromatherapy and he wants some very strange things at times. Ann gave me a written report the next day and then emailed me with the Type & Temperament results for Crackerjacks type, which was absolutely spot on. She also gave me a couple of recipes to try, one with ginger for the respiratory tract and a nettle and bran mash for detoxifying his system. These I will try at the weekend. Ann recommended a change in Cracker’s diet from Haylage to a completely unprocessed and non-concentrate food. I ordered these from Simple Systems and hope for an improvement. This weekend I shall be doing loads of overtime and hope to be able to get some herbs from Ellen soon.
I found Ann to be a very friendly, warm person and nothing was too much trouble for her. She obviously loves horses and this shows with her work. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cheshire Equine Iridology to anyone.
Thank you very much Ann

Testimonial - Rachel Holliday & Romeo
I used Cheshire Equine Iridology earlier this year when my Lusitano horse had been experiencing several different health issues. These problems had been on going for a long time and I could not find the underlying cause of them or know where they stemmed from. The main issue was that my Geldings eye or eyes would swell up for what seemed like no reason. I could not pinpoint what was the cause.
Cheshire Equine Iridology came, gave him a consultation, and gave me an in-depth assessment of where they felt his issues were stemming from. They highlighted several places on his body that where showing potential areas to investigate. Upon their recommendation and findings, I made contact with a specific equine dentist who came and treated my horse; Ann also recommended giving Romeo a course of Ellen Collinson’s herbal Anti-B. Since that date, several months ago now, his eyes have never swelled up again. Whilst I had had his teeth done by my vet previously the Iridology pushed me into looking deeper and getting a second opinion on his teeth.
I received a good prompt service that gave good aftercare and kept regularly in touch to find out how my horses health was.
If I had any more problems with an illness that I could not pinpoint the cause of, I would ask them to come out again and suggest others do the same. Grateful thanks from Rachel & Romeo. " |

Testimonial - Alison & Billy
"
Billy is looking well and I feel he has benefited a great deal from Iridology and also the cleansing due to the Nettle & bran mix, the Honey & Ginger mix and the Dandelions I picked for him & gave to him during this time. The time he spent with this in his diet helped him so much to an extent when on one occasion his urine was a milky white colour. The spasms he had along his bladder meridian have stopped now. I am positive that the Nettle & Bran mix helped him in this area.
The Types & Temperament test was also a great help to me and the ' Earth Horse' represents Billy very well. It also gave me a deeper understanding of Bill's personality, I was so pleased to read that oats was one of the feedstuffs that suited the Earth Horse (as bill is fed whole oats) and they have made such a difference to him, he loves them and they really get his digestive juices going! ~ He looks so well on them.
I am so happy that I took the opportunity to have Iridology on Billy, the whole experience was so interesting and on a personal level I found it very emotional ~ looking deep into Bill's eye's and finding out about the stresses and strains on his body & mind brought home to me what our Equine friends go through~ heart rendering stuff. Iridology is truly amazing I would recommend Iridology to all horse owners. Thank You Ann for a wonderful service & experience. Love from Alison & Billy xx " |

Testimonial - Julie, Emma & Megan
"
Megan came to us last November. She is 18yo Thoroughbred, ex-jumper and ex-broodmare. We took her on and started to bring her back into work, but it soon became apparent to us that Megan had quite a few issues. She would flinch whenever rugs or the saddle was put on; we persevered, but were mindful of her teeth and heels when it came to putting these on! When being ridden, she would buck every now and then and hated being touched on her sides. We saw an advert for Equine Iridology at our stables and, as Megan had numerous issues we thought we may learn something about why she was behaving the way she was.
After seeing Ann and hearing what she had to say during and following the assessment, we decided to follow her advice and immediately changed her diet, she recommended we put her on a de-tox plan as she had a toxic digestion, and recommended that we did not work her. Two weeks later Ann returned on her follow up visit to take more photographs of her eyes and the difference was amazing. The improvement in her vision was astounding. She was brighter, more alert and less snappy when we took the rugs on and off. We also followed Ann’s advice and got an Equine Cranio/Sacral osteopath out to address a poll problem of which we were unaware of but it was showing in the reading of her eyes. The Osteopath also found a problem in her rear end that Ann had also noticed. After he had manipulated the problem areas Megan appeared a lot calmer. After the two weeks of the de-tox she was put on a course of Ellen Collinson’s Kidney herbs.
When my daughter commenced riding Megan again the difference was amazing, she was calmer, no more bucking, and not as snappy as she had been before.
We are so glad that Ann saw Megan as she has not only given us a happier horse, she is livelier, less snappy and her coat just gleams with a healthy glow. At the age of 18, she is acting like a two year old and will happily jump 3FT. Thank you so much Ann.

" Just to say thank you for sorting yet another problem out with Megan.
Ann came to the stables to do a courtesy visit when she noticed that Megan was being quite aggressive towards Julie and me when we went into her stable. We did not think that this behaviour was anything out of the ordinary; we just got on with it as best as we could. Megan had been threatening and actually following through with her threats to kick and bite, she has actually hurt us both so much we required hospital treatment for bites and crush injuries.
Following a look into Megan’s eyes, Ann asked if Megan’s heat cycles were OK, which they were not as she was in constant heat. Megan was being fed on Alfalfa at the time, on Ann’s advice, we stopped this and gave her some herbs for the problem with the heat cycles, and within three days, she was nearly back to her old self, she was accepting of us going into her stable and entering her personal space, even wanting a rub and cuddle! Megan is 19 now is in light work and jumps occasionally.
The Types and Temperament questionnaire that we filled in showed Megan as a Shao Yang Element horse. The description of this element fitted Megan to a ‘T’; this is exactly how she is, never timid, bold, always in charge and very bossy. She is the herd leader in their field, we are sure the other horses enjoy it more when she is not out! So once again, thank you Ann for helping Megan.

Testimonial - Angela
" I would like to say thank you, for the service you provided which was a very informative consultation which put my mind at ease on a few concerns that I had with my mare, and although my fussy eater wouldn't eat the herbs recommended, it being summer and her having a full belly, I did get a bowen treatment for Bertie which confirmed some of the issues in the areas outline in the iridology, so my mare has had a number of bowen treatments since the consultation and is becoming much happier and a pony that is now taking an interest. I will try the herbs on her in the winter when she is a little hungrier as I know it will do her heaps of good. So thank you for your professionalism and the friendly service you provided, and I would definitely recommend your services to anyone, and will definitely have another consult should need arise.
Kind regards
Angie "
" Hi Ann, hope you are well ..
Firstly the herbal wormer, I was concerned she wouldn't take it because as you know she is a fussy eater, but she had no problem with taking it in her food, so brilliant, and we will continue on that programme.
More importantly, she has been on her herbs now for around 3 weeks and you can definitely see the difference in her, mainly the fact that she has had an obvious season over the last couple of weeks (as I hadn't seen her have one in the year since she has been with me!) which I am really pleased about, and I have seen her squealing and flirting with the horse over the back of our paddock ... I only managed to get the co-enzyme Q10 this weekend so she has just started on that, but she generally looks so well, her coat is beautiful and shiny and she just looks so well ... and this has only happened since taking the herbs, I am so pleased, finally my little niggly concerns I had about her are fading away :O)
Will update you again when she has completely finished her herbs .. but it’s all looking great ...
Have a wonderful Christmas.
Angie & Bertie”

Testimonial - Linda
I cannot begin to describe how grateful I am to all of you for your exceptional kindness to me since my telephone call the day after my vet diagnosed Roddy with kidney failure, and broke my heart.
After speaking to Sue, she kindly telephoned Ellen in France and her words, via Sue, gave me hope. They put me in touch with Ann and Alison at Cheshire Equine Iridology, who 'express delivered' Kidney Herbs to me for Roddy, with no postage charge. Then, if that was not kind enough, Ann herself came all the way from Cheshire to the yard in Whitwell Hertfordshire, where I keep Roddy and gave me her advice and did a full Report on Roddy's eyes, all for 'no charge'. These kind people did not know me, but their kindness and consideration has touched me greatly and I cannot praise them highly enough. Thank you ladies and all the good work you do.
I just hope and pray now that when my vet comes back in mid September, he will find a difference in Roddy's blood and urine sample.
I have about another week or so left of the Kidney Herbs and Ann has recommended the Liver Herbs next, please would you kindly post these to me and some of Ellen's AntiB and I will send the money by return of post. Thank you both so much.
Love and appreciation - Linda xx |
